PTO

The Deans Mill School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is a group of parents, guardians, teachers, and staff working together to enrich the school experience for every student.

As a parent or guardian of a Deans Mill School student, you are automatically a member of the PTO—no registration or membership fee is required. Whether you can volunteer once a year, attend meetings, help with an event, or simply share an idea, there is a place for you in our school community.

What Does the PTO Do?

Throughout the school year, the PTO helps fund, organize, and support programs, activities, and experiences for our students and teachers. This may include:

• Supporting classroom projects and teacher needs
• Helping fund field trips and enrichment programs
• Organizing family and school community events
• Providing opportunities for students to participate in cultural, science, technology, and educational programs
• Supporting special school traditions and activities

Our goal is to help create memorable experiences for students while strengthening the connection between families, teachers, and the school.

How Can I Get Involved?

There are many ways to participate, and every contribution makes a difference. You can:

• Volunteer at an event or school activity
• Help with planning or behind-the-scenes tasks
• Attend PTO meetings
• Donate supplies or items when needed
• Share your ideas, skills, or community connections
• Donate during fundraising events
• Simply stay informed and support PTO activities throughout the year

You don't need to make a major time commitment to be involved. Even an hour here or there can have a meaningful impact.

Stay Connected

Volunteer opportunities, event information, and other PTO updates will be shared through ParentSquare throughout the school year. PTO meetings are held regularly, providing an opportunity for families to learn more, ask questions, share ideas, and help shape upcoming activities.

Whether you're new to the school or have been part of the Deans Mill community for years, we welcome you! 

The PTO is strongest when families work together, and we'd love to have you be part of it in whatever way works best for your family.
